<lj:music>Chouwa oto ~with reflection~ - Kokia</lj:music>

I haven't posted a public journal for quite some time I've noticed XD so I thought I'd let y'all know I'm still alive.

I haven't been up to too terribly much. I've been working a lot, I've been doing overnight cashiering for about 8 months now, I'm used to the schedule, but it does make it difficult for me to operate during 'decent' hours of the day XD Getting up before 4pm requires a short nap before I leave for work at 10pm. I do like the job though, as much as one can.

I've had to cancel my subscription to WoW for financial reasons, so I've been doing quite a bit more drawing lately C: Also I've gotten back into one of my old vices, DBZ XD

Dragonball Kai came out recently, which is basically DBZ, remastered into widescreen, rerecorded with new music and voice recordings (same actors for the most part though), and edited so it more closely follows the manga. (Goku reached the end of Snake Way in like two episodes :D) With the release of the new version, I felt like watching all of Dragonball and Dragonball Z again, I got through Dragonball and am up to the Majin Buu saga of DBZ >.> <.< I'm a total nerd.

Along with that lovely compulsion I've also discovered the joys of Dragonball Z Abridged. These guys are hilarious. If you have ever watched the show, appreciate hilarious parodies, or otherwise like to be entertained, I'd highly recommend spending an hour of your life watching the first season of their parody of DBZ.

"This is worse than that time I was in high school, and all the guys called me Geeko, and I was Piccolo's slave, and I couldn't get Chichi to like me... wow I hit that rock harder than I thought!"

Aside from nerding out I've been... uh... I guess it all still counts as being a nerd :P

Oh well, I suppose that's enough for an update, you all know I'm alive now and I'm still up to my old tricks.

Because I was asked to post them, these are the Japanese study materials I own (in no particular order:

Japanese in 10 minutes a day, Kershul, Bilingual Books, Inc.
Japanese For Busy People - Kana Workbook, AJALT, Kodansha
(I once owned the Japanese For Busy People level 1 kana edition textbook, but it seems to have been lost in the move)
250 Essential Kanji For Everyday Use - Volume 1, Tuttle
250 Essential Kanji For Everyday Use - Volume 2, Tuttle
Let's Learn Kanji, Mitamura & Mitamura, Kodansha
A Guide to Remembering Japanese Characters, Henshall, Tuttle
Reading Japanese Jordan & Chaplin, Yale
All Romanized English-Japanese Dictionary Tuttle
Kansai Japanese, Tse, Tuttle
Kinki Japanese, Slotsve, Tuttle
Japanese Sentence Patterns for Effective Communication, Kamiya, Kodansha
Zankennayo! The Japanese You Didn't Learn in School
Kanji Cards - Volume 1 Tuttle

And also one more Japanese/English Dictionary, and a book on Japanese gestures. I also just recieved a Japanese 301 book from Anthony, if I could read the last kanji on the cover I'd tell you the title >.>;; it's published by スリーエーﾈｯﾄﾜｰｸ though. At least I think that's the publisher's name.

I also have the instant immersion Japanese software, which I've been slacking on because my mic sucks :P You have to all but shout into it for the program to hear you, and my available study hours are when I ought to be sleeping >.>;; I guess no matter what book or software I use, time to practice pronunciation will always be an issue. No matter what language I'm speaking in, if papa hears a peep from my room he'll tap on my door and ask if I'm alright >.>

With all these books I have no excuse not to be fluent by now XP I would benefit from a long time with no internet, provided I actually used that time to curl up with my books. (like that will happen XP)

Anyway, back to the purpose of this journal.

I could definitely benefit from something specifically designed to study for the JLPT. As I am I have no idea what sorts of questions are on that test.

Thanksgiving - There be cheese here.

    <lj:music>Yuki Kajiura - A Bit of Happiness</lj:music>

Today is thanksgiving, national glut-yourself-on-turkey day. I'll be dining with my family at my brother's house, and for lack of a better idea I'll be brining a cheese tray. I do so love my cheese and crackers. But now onto the real cheese, the cheese I came here to post about.

Today is thanksgiving, the day where we are traditionally supposed to give thanks. I would like to say that I am thankful for everyone on my friends list. You all come from different places around the world, but somehow we've still managed to connect on a personal level, and I am very grateful for that. Several of you don't speak english as your first language, or even your second, yet a connection is still possible. I am glad that I've still been able to talk to you guys C:

A long story short, I am grateful that I've been able to meet all of you. Happy Thanksgiving, no matter what country you live in C:

Today I met John Green, of Vlogbrothers fame. He was touring to promote his new book, Paper Towns. The event started at 7, which was precisely when I got off of work, so we had to rush to get there so I could catch as much as possible. Apparently things started about ten minutes late, so I didn't miss much. I bought a copy of Paper Towns, which isn't supposed to be available until next month, I was pretty thrilled. I also bought a copy of An Abundance of Katherines, since I hadn't read that one yet.

If you do not know who the Vlogbrothers are, here is a brief summary:
On newyears day, 2007, John and Hank Green, two brothers that now live in different states, resolved to give up all forms of textual communication, most other types (except in emergencies), and communicate only via video blogs on youtube. Every weekday for a year, they did videos back and forth.

Must see videos:

Accio Deathly Hallows
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvvFiZyEyTA
Impatient for the release date of the final book in the Harry Potter series, Hank wrote a song to convey his feelings. This video is responsible for the bulk of their suscribers.

Q&A regarding Deathly Hallows
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYskPILyQ-c
In which John helps answer some of the comments left on the Accio Deathly Hallows video, it is quite humourous and explains a bit about nerdfighterdom.

How Nerdfighters Drop Insults
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy1M5VHF3no
In which John questions the validity of contemporary insults, such as 'you suck' and 'ur a nerd', and shows off his freshly catalogued home library.

What I like about these guys most, aside from how entertaining their videos are, is that they broadcast a very positive message. Being a nerd is a good thing, it is not only alright to be interested in things other than sports and television, it is AWESOME. Not to say there is anything wrong with television or sports. Being a nerd is only a bad thing if you let it be a bad thing, what it SHOULD mean is that you are able to do awesome things that not everyone else can do, like annagram, or quote obscure literature from the nineteeth century, or program computers. Whatever it is that makes you different also makes you unique, in a great way.

Well, the camping trip was awesome, I can't wait to go next year! I swear I could have stayed there for another week C: Nobody else shared my sentiments of course. One of them was clawing at the walls so to speak, he wanted to go home on the third day. Caffeine dependancy and wilderness don't seem to go together at all. Advise to you energy drink fanatics, if you go camping, away from all caffeine for an extended period of time, bring pep pills. Otherwise you'll be miserable. XD

Here is a meme I shamelessly stole from a few people on my friends list :D

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
1. Turn on your iPod, mp3 player, whatever
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button

OPENING CREDITS:
Treasure - Yoko Ishida (Ai Yori Aoshi)
This is a beautiful song, sounds like my life would be a happy movie.

WAKING UP:
Sunglass - Utada Hikaru
Uh... All of her songs sound the same to me, but I suppose it's a trendy sounding wake up song

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:
Supercalifragilistiexpialidocious (DDR remix) - Go Go Girls
If this song represents the school I am to attend, sign me up! Sounds fun and exciting :D

FALLING IN LOVE:
First Love - Utada Hikaru
Appropriate title, but it's a very sad song, this does not bode well.

FIGHT SONG:
Real Emotion - Koda Kumi (Final Fantasy X2)
hehe I'd totally win this fight

BREAKING UP:
Refrain of Memory - Kow Otani (Haibane Renmei)
Well, it's an instrumental piece, you could almost use it for anything, but it's not quite sad enough for a break up.

PROM:
Stay - Lisa Loeb
I wish they played this song at MY prom >.>

LIFE:
Arials - System of a Down
EXACTLY!!

MENTAL BREAKDOWN:
Fukai Mori - Do as Infinity (Inuyasha)
Meh.

DRIVING:
Moon and Sunrise - BoA
This is a very relaxed drive in that case.

FLASHBACK:
Sound Life (Rem's Theme) - (Trigun)
I guess

WEDDING:
Forget About Love - Return of Jafar
LOL

BIRTH OF CHILD:
Green Bird - Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop)
Suitable C:

FINAL BATTLE:
United We Stand - Quest for Camelot
Before the battle, I guess, but it would sound lame during.

DEATH SCENE:
Spiritual Garden - Yukari Tamura
Maybe if we are going for some sort of irony?

FUNERAL SONG:
Nan de ka na - Oruchuban Ebichu
LOL. The title maybe fits, but any song with the lyrics "Today's panties are lucky panties" would make a ridiculous dirge.

END CREDITS:
Who Better than Me - Tarzan Broadway
XD

This has been very entertaining, now it is time for sleepsleepsleep x.x

Belated con report - Anime Detour!

    <lj:music>Our "World" - Namikawa Daisuke (Ulquiorra)</lj:music>

Here is my Anime Detour '08 con report! Usually I do these in crappy pseudo-comic form.

Friday:
The registration line was really long, usually the preregistration line is very short and fast, and the line to register in the first place is long, but since the con was sold out over a month beforehand and everyone was preregistered... We waited in line for about 80 minutes. Despite the fact that we still had our badges before noon, we didn't go to any panels until the Japanese Language Basics panel rolled around. It was an interesting panel, but the problem with introductory language panels is that everything is tailored to educate people who have had almost no exposure to the language before. So I didn't really learn anything new. There were a couple times when they'd start going on a topic and go beyond the realm of the obvious, and I'd start getting really interested... and then someone would ask 'what's the difference between san and chan?' or something equally obvious, and it would go on like that again, they'd start talking about a subject related to the question that is something you wouldn't normally know, and then someone would ask a silly question. Oh well.

I also did a lot of shopping on friday, I bought a pair of goggles from pawstar, $40 german imported goggles. The lenses are interchangable, but I haven't purchased any other lenses for them. I also got an Urahara keychain and phone strap C:

Spent some time in the rhythm gaming room, played some pump it up and DDR :D I had a particularly good time playing Pump it up against a guy dressed as L from Deathnote. When we were done with the first round of dancing and he went to get a drink, I put his initials in as "L!!" for him XD apparently he thought that was amusing because that's what he put in for his initials after the next round, I was tickled to say the least XD

Karaoke was awesome, I sang Glorious Mind and Bokutachi wa tenshi datta, my sister sang Tsuki akari. I was really nervous at first, I was shaking like a leaf when I first got up there, but by the time my second song rolled around I was getting pretty comfortable with singing in front of people. There were a few amazing performances by other congoers as well C:

Saturday:
I went to the Japanese Conversation panel, and was a few minutes late, again it was like the other language panel I attended, same people running it, a lot of the same people attending. Again there was the same problem, but there was audience participation, and I was able to help answer why 'doushite' and 'naze' are different, when both mean 'why?'.

After that, my sister joined me and we both went to 'Anime vs. The Real Japan', the panel was very disorganized, the guy running it didn't know until the last minute that he was actually going to be doing that panel, so there was no slide show. He did discuss at great length his experiences in Japan as an English teacher. The only thing I didn't really like was that he made it sound as if it would be the same for everybody, and him being a guy, and most of the audience being girls... I should think the gaijin experience would be different for women. Especially being pulled aside by shady barkeepers that say "We have girls!!"

There was a girl that attended both of the aforementioned panels that apparently ticked my sister off to a great extent. I suppose she thought she was talking as if she thought she was special "Well *I* already know this, but..." I suppose is what bothered her so much. Nobody should ever preface a question with that.

After that, I attended the Soul Society Gathering panel, which was basically a giant discussion about in which direction the manga is heading. A lot of people were up to date on the dubbed Bleach, slightly fewer were up to date on the Japanese anime, and very very few were up to date on the manga. I kind of felt special being able to raise my hand >.>;; The biggest question of the day "Where did he get the water to make the tea?????"

The Bleach photoshoot was depressing. I cried black emo teers of d00m. Well, not really emo tears, but I was kinda bummed that nobody wanted to take my picture. I know Tatsuki is a minor character, but people ought to know who she is. Just because she hasn't been to Soul Society or Hueco Mundo, and can't fight hollows on her own >.> Since everyone was dressed as Shinigami or Arrancar, there was no place in photos for a human who hadn't even been in the same room with any of them before. When they were organizing the shoot, they lined everyone up by squad, there was no place for me to stand, or the guy dressed as Chad. *shrug*

I never did find out what the 'cake' panel was, I assumed it was a portal discussion panel, but everyone I asked about it said they left when they found out there was no cake XD 'The cake is a lie'

Me and my sister had a blast at anime dubbing 101, as we do every year. Kyle Hebert is a genius, and every year he has better and better clips with ridiculous scripts! Basically for this panel, they had a bunch of clips with the sound removed, all there was for sound was three beeps before the character you are playing begins speaking, you begin in the place where the fourth beep would be. The object of course is to match the mouthflaps while reading the lines. The lines are always something whacky, like "THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" or "I'm sorry, did you say something? I need to finish my new yaoi manga."

After that, me and Shannon, who was borrowing my sister's badge, hung out in the consuite, did some room parties, and then went to karaoke again. Shannon sang Falco by Hitomi Shimatani, which she had practiced her butt off on. I sang Hikari to kage wo dakishimeta mama, because it was in the book of songs they already had, and I knew it reasonably well. after they opened up seconds, Shannon signed us up for a duet, we sang phantom of the opera, I was the Phantom. BWAHAHAAAAAHAAAAAA! I was a lot more relaxed this time around, I was singing along with just about every other karaoke song people sang as well C: someone sang 'Life is like a boat' and the whole room started singing along and waving their cellphones around like lighters. It was pretty sweet C: Also made a new friend, we played Rockband with him earlier, and recognized him from friday's karaoke session. Yaynerds!

Sunday:
The only panel we attended was Anime Improv, Shannon was able to borrow her other friend's badge, though she said prying it away from him was like pulling teeth XD The improv was funny. Emo wolves on cutting - "That's why you gnaw!"

I also learned how to play... damn. I lost the game.

We spent a good deal of time in the consuite again, yay for free rice and crackers and snackies! :3 We were in the dealers room up until it closed, I threw $12 into an overpriced Ulquiorra keychain/phonestrap dealie. I don't really regret the purchase, just the price. $12? for a keychain??? ._.;;

The closing ceremonies were the same as always, except the rave light thing kept shining in my eyes, I threw a towel over my head and obscured my vision a great deal to prevent headaches. Unfortunately, Kyle Hebert left the con before the closing ceremonies, I was looking forward to seeing him again. Sar won the bet on what color Greg Ayres hair would be this year, it was purple and green.

That's about it for the con report XD

Next con I'm going to, I'm definitely cosplaying as L for at least one day. It looks like awesome fun! With L the cosplay is more about body language, gestures, and behaviors than it is about the costume itself C:

Also I'm not sure how, but I stumbled across an Ulquiorra/Orihime fanfiction, and it was too darn sweet, I think I'm a shipper now x.x In the rush to find out more about Ulquiorra following this revelation, I found this awesome song, "our "World"", which is one of Ulquiorra's charater image songs, and apparently it is about how much he hates the world. It is pretty dang catchy though. The translation is essentially 'People like the world and lots of things about it. I could destroy all of those things if I felt like it. Not like I particularly care.' ...I've had it stuck in my head for days now D:

<lj-embed id="1" />

wheee long post! also enjoy the new icon :P

    <lj:music>chronicle of sky - Nana Mizuki</lj:music>

I'll start by saying I might have jumped the gun a bit with my last entry, when my sister said 'a couple months', she did not mean two or three, she meant more like six, so that's less insanity now and I'll deal with it later XD

I've sent my resume out to a place in downtown, a dog daycare, they pay well, and I believe I'm qualified. I haven't heard back from them yet though.

I've finally caved in and watched the entirety of Elfen Lied, fascinating show. Manythings are just WRONG, but the plot was captivating nonetheless. I've also found a youtube channel that has every episode of Gargoyles ever made on it. So I watched the whole series in a few days, no mean feat! My interest in the story has definitely been rekindled. Rekindled enough to finish a picture I started over a year ago of my original character as a gargoyle >.>;; and also draw a new picture of the same character.

I won't lie, I halfassed that one, but I'm satisfied at least that had I finished it immediately after I started it, to the best of my ability, it would look worse than it does now XD

This is the picture I did a few days ago, the shading didn't pick up well on the scanner, and I was lazy and just colored over it *shrug* in all the scanned and unscanned pictures I've made designing this character, she's never got the same outfit on. This particular type of wing doesn't allow for much, they're based off Lexington's wings in the show. Apparently when posed the question how can he wear a belt, the series creators said that his wings are pierced. So I guess Aika's got pierced wings as well.

Also I discovered new Gargoyles stories, the series creator Greg Weisman and the character designer, Greg Guler, have teamed up with several talented artists and begun creating new original stories in comic book form, after a decade of being off the air :D I purchased the first collection from Barnes and Noble, it contains the first six issues of the comic. It begins after the first episode of the third season of the animated show, the last episode that was actually written by the creator, and therefore the last one he considers 'canon'. It's REALLY good so far, and it kicks the crap out of 'The Goliath Chronicles'.

Apparently I wasn't the only one disappointed with the third season of Gargoyles. Not long after it was put in production, it was cancelled, the studio had to rush in order to put a somewhat decent ending in the show. The writers were rushed, the animators were rushed, the story was rushed. It REEKED of rush. It's as if they didn't know about the cancellation until there were only a few episodes left to produce.

If you'd like to check it out, it can be found on this site under the disney section: http://www.slgcomic.com

and now...
Well, my sister has announced her intention to move out as soon as her boyfriend moves into his as-of-yet unpurchased home, deadline coming up in a couple months. She has also shortened my deadline of finding a better paying job considerably. Thus, in a desperate attempt to keep things 'personal' I seek another roommate. I can't afford to live here by myself. Nor would that put me in an ideal position to risk getting a different job.

Please, if any of you live in the Minneapolis/St.Paul/Burnsville area, or know a responsible person from there, give me a heads up. I'd much rather keep this personal and not post a request on craigslist x.x

However, I had a brilliant idea for my aunt.

She grew up in Germany, and she LOVES romance novels. She reads those in english though, not many german romance novels available here in the states. I know there are quite a few people I've got contact with that are german, or living in germany, or KNOW someone living there. I would like to know what romance novels are popular there? hopefully I can find them online somewheres.

<lj:music>He lives in you - The Lion King - Broadway Cast</lj:music>

Well, last night I saw The Lion King on broadway! There aren't words that would do it justice, it was absolutely beautiful!

I went with my sister, we bought our tickets eight months in advance. We were both very blown away by Rafiki's performance in particular, she and Scar were magnificent! I also very much enjoyed Zazu, he was hilarious. Our Simba was an understudy, but he did a fantastic job as well, and the kid-Simba was utterly ADORABLE. Young Nala was loud, but she didn't really put a lot of emotion into her performance.

I really enjoyed how Scar was portrayed, in the film he's got that laid back type rage, conniving, but he never yelled at Simba. The Scar in the broadway production, however, seemed a lot more... bi-polar. He would wheedle and coax, but in the end he would nearly resort to shouting, only to catch himself and cover his intentions when he was talking to Simba. I could understand how Mufasa and Sarabi would let Simba hang around film-Scar, but if I were his parents I'd think twice before letting my kid hang around broadway-Scar. I loved his performance though, it gave a great insight into his character.

I remember being blown away by the film when I first saw it in the theater, but the broadway production was so much more powerful! My soundtrack will never come close to the live performances.

Just WOW. @.@

*copied from DA journal*

Well, halloween was lots of fun, I wore the Sherlock Holmes costume to work, the hat was waaay too big, at least it fit with the headset on under it! When I got home we watched food network for several hours, got a total of three trick or treaters. Oh well!

Here are updated commission prices, as I mentioned in a previous journal:

Sketch - $5.00
Colored Icon (headshot only) - $6.00
Flat colored image - $8.00
Colored and shaded image, plain background - $12.00
Colored and shaded image, full background - $20.00
additional characters - $4.00 each

I raised them a bit, this way I don't get so sad when I try and translate them into per-hour wages >.>

As I said before, if you've already requested a commission, I will honor the old prices.

In the future I might do more of that 'buy me something in exchange for a drawing of anything you want (within reason)', and depending on what exactly you'd like to commission, it might be cheaper to buy me something ;D

In other news I guess I'm over my upload constipation, I hadn't realized that I hadn't uploaded anything on TLKFAA for five months. I was trying to hold true to my word that the next thing I uploaded was Lioness_Lick_14's art trade, but try as I might, I can't get the sucker to turn out the way I want it to. I'm sure having me stop uploading for five months wasn't exactly what she had in mind anyway >.>

For you worrying doubters out there, I survived :P and it was absolutely AWESOME!

My tandem master was kind of a dirty old man though o_0 but I guess it could have been worse, who cares? I was SKYDIVING!

I don't really know how to describe the experience, but I enjoyed having the parachute open more than the freefall, something about air forcing itself into your nose and mouth at 120 miles per hour... makes it a bit harder to breathe XD

I'll definitely be wanting to do that again C: but probably not for a long while considering how expensive it was XD

Also I now own an official concept art from The Lion King 1 1/2, an actual production sketch from this scene: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v105/kyllir02/260.jpg (not that exact frame, but within a few seconds of it)

*glee*

Thanks Eric! :D had a great time!

So tomorrow I'm going skydiving with my friend Eric, it'll be awesome! I'll post sometime tomorrow to confirm that I lived through it for the worrywarts amongst you :P

also I'd like to update my commission prices, right now you can still get a fully colored picture with a background for just $15.00, I'll allot five days for people to reserve commissions at this price before that is changed to $20.00

If you have already requested a commission from me, even if you haven't paid yet, I will stick to the old price. Only commissions that are requested after friday, september 28th will be subject to the price change.

>.> <.< ...you know you want to commission me...

edit: and happy birthday Nastassja <3 sorry I can't make it to your party though :/ *lots of loves*

Wow it's been a long time since I've updated my journal here! Allow me to post some quick updates;

I got the job
I work full time

I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
It made me cry, but I loved it. I won't post my fanworks here, but I've done some art and am working on a fanfiction, contact me on AIM if you would like to read it.

Okay I lied, I like this one though and it offers no spoilers.

I went to the state fair and saw Weird Al in concert on Monday, it was AWESOME. He wore a fatsuit for 'I'm fat', and for 'The Saga Begins' he dressed up like a Jedi and there were dancing storm troopers. That was just made of awesome!

Speaking of things that are made of awesome, I have recently been keeping up with a video blog project called Brotherhood 2.0, you can see it at http://www.brotherhood2.com
The project is basically these two brothers that live in different states that resolved to communicate mainly through video blogging for a full year, no text communications allowed.

If you are watching them for the first time, I recommend viewing this one first, it's hilarious:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xy1M5VHF3no

Yesterday I went to the dentist and finally got my crown! <3 I still owe them about $150 for it, but dang it's nice to have a tooth back there again! They gave me a partial crown rather than a full crown, they felt that it would be stronger if it incorporated more of the natural tooth, and they anchored it into the rubber they filled my root canals with, so it will NEVER EVER fall out :D

Oh yeah, and

there's my graduation picture.

Unfortunately the square cloud picture mentioned in my last entry is on my sister's t-mobile gallery, which I don't know how to access, so maybe some other time XD

Graduated!

I have just graduated from school with an Associates degreen in applied sciences of computer animation and design. W00T! The ceremony was pretty short, but almost all of my local family showed up, with the exception of my aunt, who was having trouble with her feet, and my grandpa, who made some lame excuses about traffic detours and bad night vision this morning e_e;; the ceremony ended at 8pm, but it didn't get dark out for at least an hour afterwards. He did treat me to olive garden for breakfast though :9 and gave me a hundred bucks as a graduation present, so no complaints here aside from the quality of his excuses :P

Total monetary gifts recieved: $205.00

since this is the first money I've had in a while, I decided I'd waste at least a little of it on something non-essential to my survival XD so I treated my sister to a movie, we went and saw Meet the Robinsons, which was a ridiculously good movie. If you haven't seen it yet, you should.

In other news, I've been searching madly for a job, I've got an interview tomorrow, hopefully if all goes well I will soon be employed at McDonald's, hopefully as a management trainee, but I don't have room to be picky if all they need is crew.

Since a large part of my success as a computer animator/designer hinges on my freelance work, I'm going to be in an almost constant mad job search for the next couple years while I build up my name and reputation. The more work I do, small or big, the better my resume will look, and the better jobs I can apply for. My first attempt at a freelance job is a logo design for a company that photographs and films events and weddings, if they decide to use the logo I submit to them, I will get $200

The website I found that job on also had one that was looking to pay someone 30 bucks to put together a 750 piece puzzle, with a $20 bonus if I decide to glue it together for them XD I opted to leave that one alone. translated into an hourly wage, the money just wouldn't be sufficient XD and paying someone to put together a puzzle for you... what's the point of buying a puzzle if you don't want to put it together? That's got to be the lamest thing I've heard for a long time.

I'll post pictures from my graduation in my next entry C:

Also I saw a square cloud while we were in the car, by the time I took a picture of it on the camera phone, it had shifted into a more rectangular shape, but it was still square-ish, it was awesome XD I'll post a picture of that too XD

soooo on monday they completed the root canal procedure, they were very close to finishing last time, they just got that dental file stuck in my tooth and called it a day =P this time they finished, they determined that the file piece was at the very bottom of the root canal, and would not cause any problems if they used it as part of the filling, so they made sure that the rubber that they use for the filling melted in as far as the file did, and now everything is fine =3 I got another temporary filling, but they told me I should go in and get a crown as quickly as possible XP;; blah. those are not cheap.

I'd open a 'sandy's dental expense releif' donation fund if I thought anyone would donate to it XD all my friends are just as poor as I am =P

I finished my demo reel for class, took forever to render it though
I got credit from the teacher for having it ready on time, but since he watched me try and render it out for three hours straight, he believes me that it wasn't my fault. advice. when working with after effects, use WAV files, not MP3.

so tomorrow both of my classes are having pizza parties =d I'll be sure to come hungry! ...as if I ever eat before class anyway, sure doesn't help that there's nothing to eat at the house lol
